Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary

The Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary is 14000 acre wildlife preserve in Southwest Florida.  The santuary was founded in 1954 by the National Audubon Society to protect the wildlife of Florida.  Some of the environments located in the preserve include the pine flatwoods, wet prairies, cypress swamps and more.  Many animals live in the sactuary such as seasonal and permanent species of birds, bears, Florida panther, alligators, otters, and much, much more.
